Its mechanical properties are a tensile strength of approximately 344 MPa, plus good ductility and toughness. Zirconium 702 is stable at high temperatures and resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It is not magnetic, is thermally conductive, and welds well.
