Titanium Gr 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Needle Valves consist of a titanium alloy with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. The composition provides superior mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of ~895 MPa, high fatigue resistance, and good retention of strength at high temperatures. It provides excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and marine conditions. Less ductile than Grade 2, but superior in structural strength and pressure capacity, Grade 5 is best suited to high-performance uses. It also resists dimensional change due to thermal stress, for safe, accurate control of fluids under severe service conditions.
